Storekeeper

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and store materials, supplies, and products in the warehouse.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock movements.
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of goods to avoid damage.
  • Prepare materials for dispatch according to orders and delivery schedules.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the store/warehouse.
  • Follow company procedures and safety guidelines for handling goods.
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and other departments as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Storekeeper or in warehouse management.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and record-keeping.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations, storage standards, and safety practices.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (an advantage).
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, inventory software).
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
