Role overview

The Assistant to the General Manager provides direct executive support to the General Manager and acts as a key coordinator across operations, administration and business projects. This is a fast-paced role requiring excellent communication, strong execution, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while representing senior management with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day executive assistance to the General Manager (calendar management, travel planning, meeting coordination).
  • Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes and follow up on action items to ensure timely closure.
  • Support external communications, client reception and business liaison activities.
  • Draft, proofread and format letters, reports, presentations and other management materials.
  • Consolidate data, prepare summaries and assist with reporting to senior management.
  • Coordinate travel plans, transport arrangements and logistics for senior management.
  • Assist in coordinating and following up on selected business projects and initiatives.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Carry out additional tasks and ad-hoc duties assigned by the General Manager.

Required qualifications & skills

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant, Management Assistant or similar role supporting senior management (preferred).
  • Fluent in Chinese and English (verbal & written). Arabic is a strong advantage.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, high execution capability and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to draft professional correspondence and reports.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with UAE business environment and local protocols is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when needed.
