Store Keeper

Position Overview

The Store Keeper is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse/storage facility, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, packaging items, finished goods, and equipment. The role ensures smooth flow of materials in line with production and sales needs, while maintaining compliance with UAE food safety and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, ingredients, and packaging against purchase orders.
  • Record stock levels daily and maintain accurate inventory using ERP/manual systems.
  • Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO), ensuring minimal wastage and spoilage.
  • Storage & Housekeeping
  • Store goods in designated areas, maintaining proper labeling and identification.
  • Ensure storage conditions comply with food safety requirements (temperature, humidity, hygiene).
  • Keep storage areas clean, organized, and secure.
  • Issuance & Dispatch
  • Issue raw materials to production and finished goods to sales/logistics teams against approved requests.
  • Prepare dispatch documentation (delivery notes, stock issue forms).
  • Coordinate with logistics and production for timely deliveries.
  • Compliance & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records for stock movement, consumption, and balance reports.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile variances.
  • Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality and ESMA standards for food storage.
  • Report damaged, expired, or near-expiry goods to management promptly.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Store Keeper, preferably in food manufacturing/confectionery industry.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, food storage standards, and MS Excel/ERP systems.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Basic knowledge of UAE food safety regulations (HACCP/ISO preferred).

Working Conditions

  • Location: Factory/Warehouse environment in Dubai.
  • Physical activity required (lifting, moving goods, stock counts).
  • Flexible working hours during seasonal production peaks.

Reports to: Operations Manager / Factory Manager
