We are looking for a reliable and knowledgeable Store Assistant with an automobile or mechanical background to support daily store operations. The role involves managing auto spare parts, assisting customers and mechanics, maintaining inventory, and ensuring smooth coordination between the store and workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store automobile spare parts and mechanical components
- Identify and issue correct parts based on vehicle models, specifications, and job requirements
- Assist mechanics and technicians by supplying required tools and parts on time
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock registers or software systems
- Monitor stock levels and inform management about reordering needs
- Keep the store organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards
- Handle basic billing, invoicing, and documentation where required
- Assist customers with part selection and provide basic technical guidance
- Coordinate with suppliers and verify deliveries against purchase orders
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Automobile Engineering / Mechanical Trade (preferred)
- Previous experience in an automobile workshop, spare parts store, or garage
- Good knowledge of vehicle parts, tools, and mechanical components
- Ability to read part numbers, manuals, and technical descriptions
- Basic computer skills for inventory or billing systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Physically fit to handle lifting and movement of spare parts
