Site Assistant

Job Description

  • Oversee and coordinate all day-to-day operational activities at the mining site.
  • Act as the main communication link between on-site teams and senior management.
  • Report operational performance and daily updates directly to the Director of Operations (DOO) and Managing Director (MD).
  • Plan daily work schedules and employee rotations in coordination with the DOO.
  • Conduct recruitment activities including interviewing, hiring, and termination of staff when required.
  • Maintain accurate daily records such as work sheets, production output, and operational data.
  • Ensure smooth operations while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and teamwork.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar leadership role, preferably within mining, industrial, or offshore environments.
  • Educational background as a mining or civil engineer, machinist, or other relevant technical trade.
  • Strong ability to work with production data and performance metrics in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience in personnel management, safety compliance, and operational control.
  • Self-driven professional with strong decision-making skills and the ability to take full responsibility for site operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the capability to manage and motivate a dynamic team.
