Job Purpose:

The security watchman is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of company premises, employees, visitors as well as assets. The role involves monitoring activities, controlling access and preventing unauthorized entry. The security watchman is also responsible to response to the security incidents in a professional manner.

Key Tasks:

• Control access to facilities, issue passes and direct visitors to appropriate areas.
• Enforce client rules and regulations to maintain order in an establishment.
• Ensure that the establishment’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms, bomb threats and other emergencies.
• Patrol assigned areas on foot or in vehicles to guard against theft, vandalism and fire.
• Participates in the direction and control of crowds of client property.
• Direct and controls traffic at parking lots.
• Maintains necessary operational records and submit periodical activity reports.
• Always be alert for the safety of all the team and the staff.
• Report any unsafe conditions or suspicious activities within the building to the as per the site escalation procedure; Always follow the guidelines and procedures of clients; Always work as a team.
• Demonstrate courteous, friendly professional work environment.
• Log down any key handed out to staff, maintainers persons and always keep the records of the same.
• Provide Temporary access cards or visitors cards to all visitors and contractors pass against their original passport, labor card, or driving licenses.
• Always be alert or prepared for any major emergency that may arise. e.g. Fire, Power failure. Know the content of the emergency procedure so that you can help whenever required .
• Maintain proper handing over and taking over.
• Do a follow up on all maintenance complaints as required.
• Do patrol to ensure the safety of client property.
• Monitor and control car-parking area.
• Always check and confirm the fire alarm system is working. Elevators are in good condition; intercom and CCTV, car park barriers are all working, and emergency staircases are all clear and accessible.
• Observe visitor timings.
• Provide customer services to internal and external clients’ facilities/ buildings.

Site Safety Responsibilities :

• Help staff in case of emergency. Like fire, first aid, or any other accident.
• Assist staff to evacuate the building in case of a real fire and kind them to the assembly ground.
• Always follow the FSG QHSE policies

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• High school certificate or equivalent (preferred)
• Minimum two years Previous experience as a security guard or watchman is an advantage
• Ability to stay alert, observant, and calm under pressure
• Good communication skills (basic English; additional languages are a plus)
• Physically fit and able to stand or patrol for long periods
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
