In this role you will:
- Manage Passport and Visa Verification Unit operations, ensuring compliance with training standards, procedures and performance benchmark. Monitor performance, address variances, and propose improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead decision-making and provide guidance in handling disruptive passengers, deportees, and security threats. Escalate critical issues to the line manager and ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and aircraft.
- Maintain effective relationships with embassies, consulates, immigration, and local security authorities and stakeholders to stay updated on global practices and ensure smooth handling of sensitive passenger cases.
- Coordinate operational activities and escalate critical decisions to line manager in cases involving aircraft security threats. Maintain effective communication with airport authorities and stakeholders to ensure smooth passenger handling, minimizing disruptions and reducing potential liabilities for the Emirates Group.
- Identify opportunities to promote document check services to other airlines, prepare commercial proposals, and contribute to revenue generation through strategic partnerships.
- Manage, coach, and motivate the internal and external stakeholders to uphold high standards of professionalism. Oversee staff rosters, leave plans, and contribute to budget preparation while ensuring team development through performance reviews and training initiatives.
Qualification
To be considered for the role, you must meet below requirements:
- Completed Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).
- Bring a minimum of 8 years’ experience in security.
- Show advanced proficiency in fraud prevention, document verification, risk assessment, and crisis management to ensure operational integrity and security.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills, with proven ability to train, mentor, and motivate multicultural teams in high-pressure environments.
- Possess excellent communication and analytical capabilities, including report writing, stakeholder engagement, performance analysis, and interdepartmental coordination with authorities.
- Be highly organised and detail-oriented, skilled in conflict resolution, negotiation, decision-making, and proficient in Microsoft Office and airline operational systems (e.g., DCS, Altea, Amadeus).
