Sales Analyst

About the Role:

The Sales Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting sales data to provide insights that support strategic decision-making. The role involves tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying sales trends, and helping improve overall sales performance and forecasting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of all sales data and reports.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly sales performance dashboards to management.
  • Support the development of sales forecasts, budgets, and target-setting processes.
  • Partner with the sales team to evaluate promotions, pricing strategies, and channel performance.
  • Provide ad hoc analyses and insights to support decision-making at all organizational levels.
  • Maintain strong alignment with Finance and Marketing to ensure consistency in data and reporting.
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze sales data from multiple sources (CRM, ERP, market data, etc.).
  • Track and report on key sales KPIs such as volume, revenue, margins, and profitability by product, channel, and region.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and gaps in sales performance to support corrective actions.
  • Prepare management presentations and sales performance reports.

Required skills & Qualifications:

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills – Proficient in pivot tables, Power Query, macros, complex formulas, and data modeling.
  • Power BI / Data Visualization Tools – Experienced in designing, maintaining, and automating interactive dashboards.
  • CRM and ERP Systems – Working knowledge of platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, or comparable systems.
  • Data Management & Accuracy – Strong understanding of data integrity, cleansing, and validation best practices.
  • Analytical & Statistical Tools – Familiarity with data analysis and statistical tools is an advantage.
  • Presentation & Reporting – Ability to effectively communicate insights using PowerPoint and data storytelling techniques.
  • Experience – 2–4 years of relevant experience in sales analysis, business analytics, or commercial planning.
  • Core Skills – Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and high attention to detail.
  • Communication – Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaboration – Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
