Job Summary
The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining quality standards, and supporting staff performance. This role acts as a bridge between management and front-line staff to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily front-of-house and/or back-of-house operations
- Ensure high standards of customer service and promptly resolve guest complaints
- Monitor staff attendance, performance, grooming, and adherence to company policies
- Assist in staff training, onboarding, and motivation
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
- Manage table reservations, guest flow, and peak-hour service
- Support inventory control, stock checks, and waste reduction
- Assist management with scheduling, reporting, and operational planning
- Ensure cleanliness, ambiance, and proper setup of the restaurant at all times
- Handle cash, POS systems, and daily closing procedures when required
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or similar role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and restaurant operations
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems
Preferred Skills
- Experience in high-volume or fine-dining restaurants
- Multilingual abilities
- Conflict resolution and guest recovery skills
- Knowledge of inventory and cost control
