Job Summary

The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining quality standards, and supporting staff performance. This role acts as a bridge between management and front-line staff to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily front-of-house and/or back-of-house operations
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and promptly resolve guest complaints
  • Monitor staff attendance, performance, grooming, and adherence to company policies
  • Assist in staff training, onboarding, and motivation
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
  • Manage table reservations, guest flow, and peak-hour service
  • Support inventory control, stock checks, and waste reduction
  • Assist management with scheduling, reporting, and operational planning
  • Ensure cleanliness, ambiance, and proper setup of the restaurant at all times
  • Handle cash, POS systems, and daily closing procedures when required

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or similar role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and restaurant operations
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in high-volume or fine-dining restaurants
  • Multilingual abilities
  • Conflict resolution and guest recovery skills
  • Knowledge of inventory and cost control
