Job Description
Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality and pricing.
- Ensure all purchases are made following company procurement policies and budget guidelines.
- Supervise daily purchasing operations including requisitions, quotations, purchase orders, and deliveries.
- Maintain an updated and approved vendor database and evaluate supplier performance regularly.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with local and international suppliers.
Operational Excellence:
- Review purchase requests for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate authorization.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to all departments.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the storekeeper to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify and plan procurement needs.
- Follow up on pending orders and resolve delivery discrepancies or quality issues.
Cost Control & Compliance:
- Ensure all purchases adhere to approved budgets and procurement standards.
- Assist in cost analysis, price comparison, and market research to ensure best value.
- Maintain all purchasing records, contracts, and documentation as per audit standards.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as UAE laws and company policies.
Supervision & Reporting:
- Supervise and guide the purchasing team to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct regular supplier evaluations and performance reviews.
- Prepare and submit monthly procurement reports, cost analyses, and savings reports.
- Assist in annual budget preparation and forecasting related to purchasing activities.
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in Purchasing or Procurement, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within a five-star hotel or resort
