About the Role:
As a Procurement Officer, you will be a vital part of our supply chain, responsible for sourcing and purchasing the goods and services we need to operate smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with various teams to understand their requirements and ensure timely delivery of quality products from trusted suppliers.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with Sourcing: Help identify and evaluate new suppliers and vendors to build a robust network.
- Process Purchase Orders: Handle the preparation, issuance, and tracking of purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner.
- Supplier Coordination: Communicate daily with suppliers to get quotes, check order status, and resolve any delivery issues.
- Price Comparisons: Obtain and analyze quotes to ensure the best value for money while meeting quality standards.
- Record Maintenance: Keep meticulous records of purchases, pricing, and important supplier information.
- Team Collaboration: Work with different departments to understand their procurement needs and provide updates on order status.
- Market Research: Assist in researching market trends and potential new products or suppliers.
- Process Support: Help maintain and improve our procurement filing systems and processes.
What You’ll Bring:
- At least 2 years of experience in a procurement, purchasing, or related role.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel for creating spreadsheets and Word for documents).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with suppliers and colleagues.
- A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of accounting or inventory principles is a plus, but not required.
