Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement Officer with deep knowledge of the UAE local market, construction materials, general trading practices, and facilities management requirements. The ideal candidate will oversee procurement operations, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, vendor compliance, and adherence to UAE laws and VAT regulations.

Key Responsibilities

· Source and procure materials, equipment, and services for construction projects, trading operations, and facility maintenance.

· Identify and evaluate local suppliers and subcontractors; negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions.

· Ensure procurement activities comply with UAE laws, including Federal Law No. 6 of 2022 on Public Procurement and VAT regulations.

· Prepare and manage RFQs, LPOs, contracts, and service agreements in line with company policies.

· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and facility teams to align procurement with operational needs.

· Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment to avoid shortages or overstocking.

· Conduct market research to stay updated on material trends, price fluctuations, and supplier performance.

· Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and audit trails for compliance and reporting.

· Support tendering processes and vendor prequalification for government and private sector projects.

· Utilize ERP systems and procurement software for tracking, reporting, and analytics.

Qualifications & Skills

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or related field.

· Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in the UAE, with proven exposure to construction, trading, and facilities management.

· Strong understanding of UAE procurement laws, customs regulations, and VAT compliance.

· Familiarity local supplier networks.

· Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.

· Proficiency in MS Office and ERP platforms.
