Overview Of The Role:
The Procurement Manager is responsible for material & subcontract procurement to ensure effective and timely delivery of projects. This role requires maintaining high standards of procurement in line with organizational policies. The Procurement Manager will facilitate negotiations with vendors, manage supplier databases, and ensure that the organization adheres to safety, quality, and environmental compliance within project parameters.
What You Will Do:
Procurement Activities
- Process sub contract enquiries in order to ensure sub contract packages are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Prepare Sub Contract ITT in line with Policy and Procedures.
- Check prequalification of new subcontractors.
Vendor Management
- Participate in negotiations with suppliers to obtain the best cost and lead time offerings.
- Conduct performance evaluations for suppliers to maintain quality services and products.
- Develop and maintain supplier database to ensure all data and offerings are updated.
Operational Accountabilities
- Ensure that all relevant safety, quality, and environmental procedures, instructions, and controls are adhered to.
- Guarantee the quality of services and environmental compliance within AFC.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Proficiency in subcontractor and vendor negotiation.
- Ability to develop and maintain supplier relationships.
- Comprehensive understanding of procurement policy and compliance.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
What Qualifies You For The Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience, specifically in a procurement role.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with competencies in influencing others, managing complexity, and demonstrating self-awareness.
