Plumber

Job Description

Install, repair, and maintain various plumbing fixtures and systems, including sinks, tubs, toilets, water heaters, and water conditioners
Ensure proper operation and maintenance of plumbing equipment, including water supply systems, sewer pumps, and drainage networks
Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing systems, including cleaning fat traps, soil pipes, and roof-level ventilation and rainwater outlets
Review building plans and specifications to determine plumbing layouts and material requirements
Install supports and hangers for pipes, fixtures, and equipment, ensuring proper positioning and functionality
Collaborate with supervisors and team members to execute preventive and annual maintenance programs
Adhere to all safety rules, local building codes, and regulations while performing job duties
Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing issues efficiently and effectively
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with property occupants or clients
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Stay updated on the latest plumbing technologies and best practices

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in residential and commercial plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair
Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and sewage systems
Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve plumbing issues efficiently and safely
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment specific to plumbing work
Thorough understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance related to plumbing
Knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations in Baghdad, Iraq
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and plumbing diagrams
Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer service and team collaboration
