Job Summary:
The Payroll Accountant is responsible for managing the full payroll cycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing of salaries, benefits, and deductions for all employees. This role ensures compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process the full monthly payroll accurately and on time.
- Calculate and administer wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality.
- Prepare and submit monthly and yearly payroll reports.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with HR regarding new hires, terminations, leaves, and salary changes.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in audits and provide payroll-related documentation as required.
- Support management in budgeting and forecasting related to payroll expenses.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Accountant or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Understanding of local labor laws and tax regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred:
- Professional certification in payroll or accounting (e.g., CPA, CIPP) is a plus.
