Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake, and present pastries, breads, desserts, and bakery items according to restaurant standards.
- Develop new recipes, seasonal menus, and dessert presentations.
- Maintain high levels of food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Ensure accurate measuring and mixing of ingredients.
- Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and product textures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry and bakery section.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations (HACCP standards).
- Manage inventory, place ingredient orders, and minimize wastage.
- Train and supervise junior staff if required.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team for menu planning and smooth operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, dough preparation, baking methods, and dessert plating.
- Creativity and passion for high-quality pastries and innovative desserts.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Good time management, organizational skills, and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Flexibility to work early morning shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
