Overview Of The Role:
The Parts Picker is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of parts and equipment. Working within the Aftersales department, the role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of inventory management and supports both customer and workshop needs. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to company guidelines, and a commitment to safety and organisational standards.
What You Will Do:
- Receive, issue, unload, and record parts, equipment, and other supplies.
- Read catalogues to determine material requirements and indicate part numbers, descriptions, quantities, and codes on stock issue sheets.
- Determine the source of suppliers within company guidelines and maintain records of requisitions.
- Initiate purchase orders and receive and issue materials on orders for standard items regularly carried in inventory.
- Unload, unpack, inspect, and check packing slips against stocks received.
- Load, move, store, and record the movements and storage locations of materials.
- Input information on various databases.
- Issue and transfer materials to customers and workshops.
- Report safety issues to the warehouse manager or parts advisor.
- Ensure the security of the warehouse.
- Complete housekeeping duties to maintain the warehouse in a clean, tidy, and safe condition.
Required Skills To Be Successful:
- Proficiency in inventory management and related software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
- Ability to follow safety and security guidelines rigorously.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal departments.
