What you’ll be doing

Understand current trends, opportunities, assortment, and competition and buying vision by category of business and use this knowledge to properly assort, merchandise and market products. Analyze sales figures to understand market trends, what appeals to the customer and cater purchases and stocks accordingly. Work under pressure in a dynamic environment, quickly identify problems and recommend solutions and
work as part of a team and maintain effective communication skills with all stakeholders.

  • Responsible for the entire product range, management and execution of stock purchase and rotation to maximize sales and enhance customer experience.
  • Take an active part in any new products launch strategic plans to ensure targets are achieved as per business plan.
  • Identify selection and product opportunities within the category and identify customer shopping trends to support assortment selection, assortment gaps, understand the competitor landscape, SKU count and price point.
  • Support eCommerce team to maintain a merchandising calendar for website home and landing pages, navigation, special initiatives, item images etc.
  • Ensure data of stock allocation, level and ageing are accurate, resolve any discrepancies, and make sure that decisions of transfers, returns, listing, delisting are taken accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to make sure that marketing initiatives are met in terms of stock and merchandise.
  • Work closely with Retail Manager on stock analysis by SKU to help in identifying sell out targets for Front Line Team.
  • Provide feedback to the management on the ongoing and upcoming stock and slow- moving stock.
  • Competitive analysis to make sure product pricing and range is well maintained and aligned with competitors.
  • Planning Department/Category merchandising analysis based on sales, history and forecast, covers and pipeline to maintain product range to manage out of stock/excess stock risk are minimal through effective merchandising planning.
  • Help the Retail Manager in meeting with suppliers and managing the distribution of stock, by negotiating cost prices, ordering stock, agreeing with timescales and delivery dates.
  • Monitor daily, weekly transaction, and replenish the stock accordingly.
  • Follow up with new supplier for novelties, Bundle Deal, Promotional stock range and recommended to Marketing team for their feedback.
  • Maintain all seasonal sales tracker, reviewing, and giving feedback to management in weekly trade meeting.
  • Following with logistics team, ensuring shipments are processed, cleared and updated as per the desired location on requirement basis.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Great understanding of each of the major Incoterms
  • Understand how international trade works and knowledge of the ICC governing body and its official guidelines and terminologies
  • Working experience with space optimisation techniques
  • Great understanding of the various techniques of handling inbound and outbound cargoes
  • Understanding of multi-tiered supply chain costing models
  • Great knowledge of macro-economics factors
  • Basic knowledge of network design parameters and counterbalancing metrics
  • Comprehensive understanding of network optimization frameworks and software capabilities
  • Able to lead top-to-top risk mitigation discussions with key supply partners
  • Good understanding of major project management methodology
  • Able to lead cross-functional/organizational project teams
  • Familiar with the DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyse-Improve-Control) methodology of Six Sigma and with important problem solving and kaizen (continuous improvement) tools and techniques such as FMEA, fishbone analysis etc.
  • Strong understanding of present and up-and-coming technologies to accelerate the value of SCM
  • General awareness of procurement systems used within the industry and in-depth knowledge of current organization’s system
  • General awareness of demand planning systems used within the business
  • Experience in warehouse and transportation management systems is a big plus
  • 2+ years of experience
  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain or any relevant field.
