Job Title: Manager – Operations (Logistics) – Frozen FoodsJob Summary
The Operations Manager will oversee and manage the end-to-end logistics and supply chain activities for the frozen foods division. This includes cold chain management, inventory control, warehousing, transportation, and distribution to ensure products maintain quality and are delivered efficiently, on time, and within cost parameters.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor the receipt, storage, and distribution of frozen food products.
- Ensure compliance with cold chain logistics standards to maintain product quality and safety.
- Oversee route planning, transportation scheduling, and cost optimization.
- Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Supervise cold storage facilities to ensure proper temperature maintenance.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses, wastage, and stock discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to hygiene and food safety standards (HACCP, ISO, etc.).
- Team Management & Coordination
- Lead, train, and manage warehouse, logistics, and delivery teams.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and production teams to align operations with business needs.
- Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards for food logistics.
- Prepare and present reports on operational efficiency, KPIs, and cost management.
- Manage third-party logistics (3PL) and vendor relationships.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in logistics or operations management within the frozen/chilled food industry.
- Strong knowledge of cold chain logistics and temperature-sensitive goods handling.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in ERP/logistics management software.
- Strong understanding of compliance standards (HACCP, ISO 22000, etc.).
