Role Summary:
The Field Service Manager leads a team of field service technicians and coordinates all troubleshooting and repairs of all Flowserve and Non-Flowserve products for customers in industries such as oil and gas, chemical, nuclear, coal, mining and water/wastewater industries. The job also involves coordination of all the CSCs in a region and train their Field service technicians, create a pool of resources that are available to customers outside of their region, in case of demand. Scope of work includes T/A tracking and coordinating T/As in a region.
Your Role:
- Actively support a positive HSE culture to reduce lost time injuries and recordable accident frequency rate and maintain a safe hazard free work environment. Work according FLS and Customer safety regulation and rules. Responsible for organization of required equipment (tools, PPE, …).
- Make direct, in-person service calls in response to customer requests.
- Assess mechanical / instrument / electric related problems and take actions to resolve promptly.
- Oversee the full cycle of repair: disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and assembly.
- Ensure that equipment is installed successfully and on schedule.
- Check equipment prior to start-up and assess start-up performance.
- Work side-by-side with our customer’s personnel and lead work crews as required.
- Monitor the maintenance and performance of Flowserve equipment.
- Train customers in the proper procedures for operating and maintaining Flowserve products.
- Identify field service sales opportunities for sales to follow up, quote, and present to the customer.
- Collaborate with Flowserve Sales Engineers to ensure a coordinated approach to serving our customers.
- Collaborate effectively with the supporting organizations of Flowserve, including the repair centers and commercial organization.
- Maintain organized, accurate, timely records, including daily reports, jobs quoted, jobs performed, and time and materials charged using Flowserve designated systems and processes.
- Supervise and perform inspections and testing on customer site, workshop, or third-party repair facility.
- Perform start up troubleshooting on site or via online support.
- Inspection / reporting of damaged claimed products on site.
- Perform last minute risk analyses, risk assessments on site.
- Regular contact with the local base as well as all the manufacturing plants and QRCs in order to access technical information, guides, procedures etc.
- During non-booked season, extend support / assist their local QRC / factory where they are based out of.
- Communicate and support with root cause analysis within FLS and the customer.
- Able to interface well with customers always presenting a positive perception of the company.
- Complete and submit the final report prior to leaving job site.
- Communicate by word and actions Flowserve’s values for ethics, safety, and quality.
- Additional duties as assigned.
