Job Summary
The Driver is responsible for safely transporting maintenance staff, tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites. The role also includes supporting basic logistics and ensuring vehicles are well maintained, contributing to smooth and timely maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive company vehicles to transport maintenance staff, materials, and equipment
- Follow assigned routes and schedules efficiently
- Load and unload tools, spare parts, and materials as required
- Ensure timely arrival at maintenance sites
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, tires, brakes, etc.)
- Keep vehicles clean, safe, and in good working condition
- Report vehicle issues, accidents, or delays to the supervisor
- Maintain driving logs and fuel records if required
- Comply with traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations
- Assist maintenance teams with basic support tasks when needed
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid driving license (appropriate category for company vehicle)
- Proven experience as a driver (preferably in maintenance or service companies)
- Good knowledge of local routes and traffic rules
- Physically fit to assist with loading/unloading materials
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance
- Responsible, punctual, and reliable
Preferred Skills
- Experience driving vans, pickups, or light trucks
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and technicians
- Basic record-keeping skills
- Flexible to work overtime, weekends, or emergency call-outs
