Duties & Responsibilities – Kitchen Steward
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen utensils, dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and equipment
- Operate dishwashing machines and ensure proper use of detergents and chemicals
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors, walls, sinks, drains, and garbage areas
- Collect, segregate, and dispose of waste according to hygiene and safety standards
- Assist in keeping kitchen workstations organized and clutter-free
- Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic tasks when required
- Ensure proper storage of cleaned equipment and utensils
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
- Report damaged or missing equipment to the supervisor
- Comply with health, safety, and company policies
- Assist during kitchen opening and closing procedures
- Help with receiving and storing kitchen supplies when needed
Skills & Qualities Required
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and food safety
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
- Attention to cleanliness and detail
