Full job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning & Hygiene:

  • Wash and sanitize all kitchen utensils, dishes, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, and work areas according to hygiene standards.
  • Ensure garbage bins are emptied regularly and waste is segregated properly.
  • Follow proper procedures for cleaning and storing kitchen equipment.

2. Equipment Handling:

  • Operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Report any damage or malfunctioning of equipment to the Stewarding Supervisor immediately.
  • Handle chemicals and cleaning agents as per safety guidelines.

3. Support to Kitchen Operations:

  • Assist chefs and cooks with basic kitchen duties such as collecting and returning kitchen tools.
  • Ensure sufficient supply of clean crockery, cutlery, glassware, and utensils at all times.
  • Help with food receiving, storage, and organization when required.

4. Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Follow HACCP and food safety standards at all times.
  • Adhere to personal hygiene and grooming standards.
  • Wear appropriate uniform and safety gear during duty hours.

5. Teamwork & Communication:

  • Maintain good working relationships with kitchen and service staff.
