Kitchen Staff/Cook

Full job description

Our company is looking for motivated and dependable kitchen staff to join our team. As a key part of our back-of-house operation, you will help ensure that food is prepared safely, efficiently, and to our high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Line Cook:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen during and after service
  • Assist with inventory and quality checks
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

Prep Cook:

  • Wash, chop, and prepare ingredients for daily service
  • Assist line cooks with basic tasks as needed
  • Label and store ingredients properly
  • Ensure prep station is clean and organized
  • Follow portion control guidelines and food safety standards

Dishwasher:

  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness in the dish pit, floors, and trash areas
  • Support kitchen staff with cleaning and basic prep tasks when needed
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies

Qualifications:

  • Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and able to take direction well
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
