Key Responsibilities:
- Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, including workstations, utensils, equipment, and storage areas.
- Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen tools, ensuring they are properly cleaned and stored.
- Receive and organize kitchen supplies, ingredients, and deliveries according to food safety standards.
- Support the cooking staff during meal preparation and service hours.
- Dispose of waste and maintain proper cleanliness of garbage areas.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor of shortages or maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations as per company policy.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Prior experience in a kitchen, restaurant, or food service environment is an advantage.
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and follow instructions.
Working Conditions:
