Job Summary:

The Kitchen Helper assists in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and smooth workflow. The role supports chefs and kitchen staff in preparing ingredients, maintaining hygiene, and handling basic food preparation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in food preparation by cleaning, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
  • Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
  • Keep the kitchen area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Support cooks and chefs with basic cooking tasks as needed.
  • Dispose of waste and ensure proper cleanliness standards are maintained.
  • Receive and store food supplies properly.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
