Calisto’s Portuguese Restaurant is bringing authentic Portuguese flavors to Dubai, and we are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Cleaner/Steward to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, glassware, and kitchen equipment efficiently.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks (such as washing and cutting vegetables, unpacking deliveries).
• Keep workstations, storage areas, and floors clean and organized at all times.
• Dispose of kitchen waste and recycling safely and correctly, ensuring bins are emptied regularly.
• Ensure cleaning products and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service hours with general cleaning and kitchen assistance.
• Follow all company hygiene, food safety, and health & safety regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in a kitchen stewarding or cleaning role is preferred (training provided).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods.
• Strong sense of cleanliness, organization, and responsibility.
• A positive team player with good communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
