Full job description
A well-driven and dynamic IT Support Officer will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth, secure, and uninterrupted operations of servers, networks, and systems. The role includes networking, database management, system administration, troubleshooting, security management, and end-user support.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Windows domain servers, application servers, file and print servers, and Wi-Fi infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, business applications, and system environments.
- Manage user accounts, system logins, access rights, permissions, and configurations, including IT onboarding support for new employees.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, system, and network-related issues while ensuring secure system and network access.
- Perform regular system updates, backups, security checks, and ensure compliance with information security policies.
- Provide database management support, including user access control, data integrity checks, and database backup assistance.
- Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with external vendors for hardware maintenance, repairs, and software licensing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role.
- Experience with system security, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
