About the Role
Maven Building Contracting is looking for a hands-on HR Officer to support our growing project portfolio across Dubai. You’ll manage end-to-end HR operations for a site-based workforce, with a focus on blue-collar recruitment, payroll/WPS, visas, and compliance with UAE labour regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Acquisition: Source and hire skilled trades (steel fixer, carpenters, helpers, drivers, etc.); manage onboarding, inductions, and mobilization to sites.
- HR Operations: Maintain employee files, contracts, leaves, and attendance; manage transfers between sites and demobilizations.
- Payroll & WPS: Validate timesheets/overtime, coordinate with Payroll for accurate WPS processing, and handle queries.
- Govt. Relations Support: Coordinate with PRO/typing centers for MOHRE & GDRFA processes, Emirates ID, medicals, visa issuance/renewals/cancellations.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to UAE Labour Law and company policies; support audits and HSE onboarding compliance.
- Employee Relations: Address grievances, conduct counseling, and support disciplinary processes.
- Offboarding & EOSB: Manage clearances, final settlements, and gratuity calculations.
- HR Reporting: Prepare weekly/monthly HR dashboards (headcount, attrition, leave, vacancies, visa status).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of HR experience; UAE construction/contracting experience is a strong plus.
- Working knowledge of MOHRE/GDRFA procedures, visa lifecycle, and WPS.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and HRMS/ATS tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Languages: Fluent English; Hindi/Urdu and/or Arabic is an advantage.
- UAE driving license preferred.
