Job Purpose
To maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas in accordance with hotel standards, ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned public areas
- Make beds, change linen, and replace towels as per standards
- Replenish guest room amenities and supplies
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and furniture
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or lost & found items immediately
- Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ensure high standards of hygiene and safety at all times
- Respond politely to guest requests and assist when required
- Follow hotel policies, procedures, and grooming standards
- Support team members and perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors
Health, Safety & Hygiene
- Follow all hygiene and sanitation guidelines
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) when required
- Comply with health and safety regulations
Qualifications & Skills
- Basic knowledge of housekeeping procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Physically fit to perform housekeeping duties
- Basic English communication skills preferred
Experience
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience is an advantage
- Freshers may be considered based on suitability
Working Conditions
- Shift duty, including weekends and public holidays
- Standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods
