Job Summary
The Heavy Vehicle Driver is responsible for operating heavy-duty vehicles in a safe, efficient, and lawful manner. The role requires adherence to traffic laws, company policies, and site safety regulations while ensuring timely delivery and proper vehicle maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy vehicles such as dump trucks, trailers, tankers, or low-bed trucks as assigned
- Transport construction materials, machinery, and equipment to and from job sites
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues promptly
- Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with weight and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate trip logs, fuel records, and delivery documentation
- Follow traffic laws, site rules, and company safety procedures at all times
- Assist with basic loading and unloading when required
- Keep vehicles clean and in good working condition
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, site managers, and dispatchers
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid heavy vehicle driving license .
- Minimum 3 years of experience driving heavy vehicles
- Good knowledge of traffic laws and road safety practices
- Ability to work long hours and in challenging weather conditions
- Physically fit and able to handle job-related tasks
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and inspections
- Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality
