Job purpose

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating both heavy and light forklift to move, load, and unload materials within the yard or warehouse, ensuring efficient handling and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to transport pipes, fittings, valves, and other materials within the yard.
• Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently.
• Stack and organize materials in designated areas to optimize space and accessibility.
• Perform daily equipment checks and report any maintenance issues.
• Assist with general yard duties when required.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and HSE standards.

Key Competencies

• Valid Heavy and Light Forklift License (mandatory).
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating forklifts in an industrial or warehouse setting.
• Knowledge of safe material handling practices.
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions and handle physical tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
