About the Role
We’re looking for a caring, reliable, and professional Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our home care team. You’ll support clients in their own homes, helping them maintain comfort, dignity, and independence. This role suits someone who is empathetic, patient, and committed to delivering excellent care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe use of equipment (e.g., hoists, wheelchairs).
- Support clients with meals, hydration, and medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Monitor and report any changes in health or wellbeing to the care coordinator.
- Help with light household duties (laundry, cleaning, meal prep) as part of the care plan.
- Maintain accurate daily care records and communication logs.
- Follow individual care plans and company policies at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in a home care or similar care setting preferred (training provided).
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards) desirable.
- Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding, and dignity in care.
- Valid driving license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred).
