Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and creative Bistro Chef to lead our breakfast and pastry program. You will design and execute a menu that combines modern breakfast favorites with freshly baked pastries, delivering dishes that stand out in taste and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and prepare signature breakfast dishes.
- Create and bake a variety of pastries.
- Maintain consistency in flavor, presentation, and quality.
- Manage inventory, sourcing, cost control, and waste reduction.
- Uphold strict food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.
- Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
- Perform well in a fast-paced breakfast and brunch environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in breakfast kitchens, patisserie, or bistro environments.
- Strong pastry-making and baking skills.
- Creativity in menu development with attention to flavor and presentation.
- Familiarity with modern breakfast trends.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience in food cost control and procurement.
- Leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Culinary diploma or certificate preferred.
- Flexibility to work early mornings and weekends.
- Experience in dietary trends is a plus.
- Background in conceptualizing modern or fusion breakfast menus is an advantage.
