General Foreman

Job Summary:

The Engineering Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating maintenance and repair work within the hotel. This includes overseeing a team of technicians to ensure all systems and equipment (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) are operating efficiently and in compliance with hotel standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily maintenance operations across all areas of the hotel
• Assign tasks to technicians and monitor work for quality and timeliness
• Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and equipment rooms
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and documented
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to minimize guest disturbance during maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve urgent engineering issues
• Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials
• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are strictly followed by the team
• Train new technicians and monitor their performance
• Report major issues and daily activities to the Chief Engineer

Requirements:

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering.
• 2-3 years of experience in a hotel engineering department, including supervisory role
• Good knowledge of hotel systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevators, etc.
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and during emergencies
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
