General Foreman
Job Summary:
The Engineering Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating maintenance and repair work within the hotel. This includes overseeing a team of technicians to ensure all systems and equipment (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) are operating efficiently and in compliance with hotel standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily maintenance operations across all areas of the hotel
- Assign tasks to technicians and monitor work for quality and timeliness
- Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and equipment rooms
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed and documented
- Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to minimize guest disturbance during maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve urgent engineering issues
- Maintain inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials
- Ensure all safety policies and procedures are strictly followed by the team
- Train new technicians and monitor their performance
- Report major issues and daily activities to the Chief Engineer
Requirements:
- Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering.
- 2-3 years of experience in a hotel engineering department, including supervisory role
- Good knowledge of hotel systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, elevators, etc.
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and during emergencies
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required
