Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to move, locate, load, and unload products safely and efficiently. The role ensures accurate handling of goods while maintaining workplace safety and supporting warehouse/production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and related equipment to load, unload, stack, and move materials within the warehouse, factory, or yard.
- Ensure proper handling of goods to avoid damage during loading and unloading.
- Conduct daily inspection and routine maintenance checks of forklift equipment.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and other items to designated areas.
- Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and regulatory requirements while operating equipment.
- Assist with inventory management by moving stock to and from storage areas.
- Ensure accurate placement of materials in racks, shelves, or staging areas.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, damages, or workplace hazards to the supervisor.
- Support warehouse staff in general duties as required.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift license/certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse, logistics, or production environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse practices, loading/unloading procedures, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read load charts, labels, and basic warehouse documents.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical stamina to lift, move, and handle heavy loads as required.
