Job Summary:
The Food Runner is responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables swiftly and accurately. The ideal candidate should be able to ensure that all dishes are served at the right temperature, presentable, and delivered promptly. They must also be able to assist the waitstaff and maintain a clean dining area.
Key Responsibilities:
– Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables quickly and efficiently.
– Assist in the preparation and setup of tables, ensuring they are clean and properly set.
– Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and waitstaff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders.
– Ensure that all food items are served at the correct temperature and in an appealing manner.
– Address any customer inquiries or concerns courteously and promptly.
– Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, including clearing and resetting tables.
– Assist with any other tasks as needed to ensure smooth operation of the restaurant.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
– Prior experience in a similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting is a plus.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
– Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality service.
– Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
– Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
