F&B Hostess

Job Description

  • Greeting and welcoming guests as they arrive at the restaurant.
  • Escorting guests to their tables and providing them with menus.
  • Taking reservations and managing the seating plan to ensure efficient operation.
  • Providing recommendations on food and drink selections, along with information about specials and promotions.
  • Ensuring that guests are attended to promptly and addressing any requests or concerns they may have.
  • Coordinating with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Handling guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist in setting up and clearing tables to ensure a smooth flow of service.
  • Collaborate with the bar manager and F&B service to ensure that guest preferences and special requests are accommodated.
  • Maintain knowledge of the restaurant’s menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to provide accurate information to guests.
  • Help with administrative tasks such as taking reservations, managing guest lists, and updating restaurant seating arrangements.
  • Assist in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in the dining area.
  • Manage wait times and communicate accurate estimates to guests during peak hours.
  • Assist in training new hostesses and support staff as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local attractions and events to provide recommendations to guests.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings to stay informed about daily specials, events, and any changes in restaurant operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the reception and dining areas.
