Job Description

As an Event Assistant at The Only Dandy, you will be responsible for supporting the Event Managers at event sites with day-to-day tasks such as transporting costumes, props, and necessary items, handling shopping runs and supply pickups, and serving as the primary point of contact for entertainers and talent on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the Team On-Site: Assist the Event Manager with coordination and administrative support while ensuring all costumes and event-related items arrive ahead of schedule and are accounted for.
• On-Site Talent Coordination: Serve as the liaison for talent during events, ensuring their needs are met and any last-minute challenges are handled efficiently.
• Logistics Management: Oversee transportation and organization of costumes, props, and essential event materials to and from event locations.
• Flexibility & Initiative: Adapt quickly to changes in the event environment and take proactive steps to address issues without constant supervision. Be prepared to step into different roles as required to support the success of the event.

Requirements

• Experience: 1–2 years in an event-related role, with a proven record of working on-site at live events.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Software Proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Work Style: Capable of working independently in a remote setting and committed to being hands-on during event days.
• Pressure Management: Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving demands and tight timelines.
• License and Transportation: A valid U.A.E. driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle are required for travel to event sites and meetings.
