Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Chef de Partie (CDP) to take ownership of a specific section of the kitchen. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, working closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to maintain consistent standards. As a Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in ensuring that the kitchen runs efficiently, smoothly, and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a section of the kitchen and ensure the preparation of food is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes as per the menu, following recipes and quality standards.
  • Assist in developing and testing new menu items.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in your section and throughout the kitchen.
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, providing support and guidance.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and cooked in accordance with food safety and health regulations.
  • Maintain inventory and manage stock levels, including ordering supplies as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Handle and resolve any issues in your section, from equipment malfunctions to customer feedback.
  • Assist in food costing and portion control to maintain profitability.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the kitchen team.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen position.
  • Culinary diploma or relevant qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Passionate about food, with an eye for detail and creativity.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
