Job Description


We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Commis II – Cold Kitchen to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will assist in the preparation and presentation of cold dishes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency.

  • Prepare and assemble cold dishes, including salads, appetizers, and desserts, according to recipes and plating instructions
  • Assist in the organization and maintenance of the cold kitchen area, ensuring cleanliness and proper food storage
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely food service
  • Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of ingredients and supplies for the cold kitchen
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards in all aspects of food handling and preparation
  • Assist in menu development and the creation of new cold dishes as directed by senior kitchen staff
  • Support other kitchen sections as needed during peak hours or special events

Qualifications

  • Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification in culinary arts
  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with a focus on cold kitchen operations
  • Demonstrated proficiency in knife skills and food preparation techniques
  • Strong knowledge of cold kitchen operations and various cuisines
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and execute proper plating techniques
  • Current food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe)
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Passion for culinary arts and commitment to continuous learning and improvement
