Join our dynamic culinary team as a Commis II in the vibrant city of Dubai. We’re seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to support our kitchen operations and contribute to creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
- Assist in food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation according to established standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene requirements
- Support senior chefs in various cooking stations and learn different culinary techniques
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations during service
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation
- Participate in menu development and contribute creative ideas for new dishes
- Maintain and properly store kitchen equipment and utensils
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Continuously improve culinary skills and knowledge through on-the-job training and guidance from senior chefs
Qualifications
- Passion for food and customer service with a creative approach to culinary arts
- Basic culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure kitchen environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Time management skills and ability to multitask effectively
- Willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach to work
- Basic English language proficiency, both verbal and written
- High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- Culinary school certificate or relevant experience (Preferred)
