Job Description


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis I to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Commis I, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

  • Assist in the daily preparation of ingredients and mise en place for your assigned station
  • Stock and organize kitchen supplies, ensuring adequate inventory for smooth operations
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Follow recipes and cooking techniques as directed by senior kitchen staff
  • Assist in the preparation and plating of dishes according to established standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and high-quality food production
  • Support other kitchen stations as needed during peak hours
  • Participate in regular kitchen meetings and training sessions to enhance culinary skills
  • Contribute ideas for menu improvements and cost-saving measures

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; previous kitchen experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety principles (including HACCP)
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and willingness to take direction from senior staff
  • Basic math skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic kitchen setting
  • Passion for cooking and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes and guest experiences
