Full job description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items as per recipes and standards
- Follow instructions from the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, tools, and workstations
- Prepare ingredients (washing, chopping, marinating, etc.)
- Maintain proper food storage and labeling standards
- Comply with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
- Support senior chefs during service and peak hours
- Minimize food wastage and handle ingredients responsibly
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Basic culinary knowledge or certification preferred
- Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen is an advantage
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
