Key Responsibilities –
- Operate and monitor Trumpf CNC punching and bending machines as per production schedules.
- Set up machines, select programs, and adjust parameters for each job based on technical drawings and specifications.
- Ensure correct tooling, dies, and materials are used for each production batch.
- Actively participating in preventive maintenance program for machines.
- Ensure the third-party certifications for machines in coordination with HSE team.
- Produce components within defined tolerances and quality standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using measuring instruments (vernier callipers, micrometres, etc.).
- Identify and report any defects, deviations, or equipment issues to the Production Engineer immediately.
- Coordinate with the Production and Assembly teams to ensure timely delivery of fabricated components.
- Follow work priorities as assigned by the Production Engineer or Factory In-Charge.
- Assist in optimizing material nesting and sheet utilization to minimize waste.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and wear always required PPE.
- Conduct pre-start machine safety checks and report any hazards or malfunctions.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area and equipment.
- Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety briefings.
Qualifications & Skills
- Technical Diploma or ITI Certificate in Mechanical / Production / Tool & Die.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in operating Trumpf or equivalent CNC punching and bending machines.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and sheet metal fabrication details.
- Strong knowledge of tooling, setup, and machine control software (e.g., TruTops).
- Attention to detail, quality focus, and mechanical aptitude.
