1. Cleaning & Sanitation
- Ensure daily cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitization of all clinic areas, including patient rooms, consultation rooms, waiting areas, and restrooms.
- Follow DHA-approved infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination and the spread of infections.
- Perform deep cleaning and sterilization of high-contact surfaces, including medical equipment and furniture.
- Maintain proper ventilation and air quality by regularly cleaning air filters and monitoring airflow systems.
- Regularly restock hand sanitizers, disinfectants, and cleaning supplies across the facility.
2. Waste Management & Compliance
- Handle and dispose of medical and non-medical waste in compliance with DHA regulations.
- Ensure proper segregation of biohazardous, recyclable, and general waste to minimize risks.
- Coordinate with waste disposal vendors to schedule timely collection of hazardous and general waste.
- Maintained accurate waste disposal logs and documentation for regulatory audits.
3. Laundry & Linen Management
- Oversee the laundering and proper storage of clinic linens, towels, and patient gowns.
- Ensure all linens are cleaned at high temperatures to eliminate pathogens and maintain hygiene standards.
- Monitor inventory of clean linens and request replacements when necessary.
4. Infection Control & DHA Compliance
- Adhere to all DHA infection control guidelines for healthcare cleaning practices.
- Use approved disinfectants and sanitizing agents to maintain a sterile environment.
- Report any hygiene or safety concerns to the Clinic Manager immediately.
- Participate in regular training on infection control, health, and safety protocols.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling biohazardous materials.
5. Safety & Facility Maintenance
- Regularly inspect the facility for potential hygiene risks and report any maintenance issues.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Implement safety measures to prevent slips, falls, or accidents in wet or high-traffic areas.
- Assist in emergency cleaning situations such as spills, contamination, or unexpected biohazards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in healthcare housekeeping is a plus.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in housekeeping, preferably in a healthcare or clinical environment.
- Knowledge of DHA infection control protocols, biohazard waste management, and medical cleaning standards.
- Familiar with hospital-grade disinfectants, sterilization techniques, and PPE usage.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus) for effective communication with staff and vendors.
