Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Purchasing department in Dubai, the Buyer is responsible for sourcing and procuring quality products and services at the best value while ensuring timely supply, compliance with hotel standards, and support for sustainability initiatives. The Buyer reports to Purchasing Assistant Manager.

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure quality products and favorable terms.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with hotel standards, sustainability, and service agreements.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with departments to consolidate purchasing needs and maintain accurate supplier and contract documentation.
  • Support sustainability by prioritizing eco-friendly and ethically sourced products.

As a Buyer, we expect from you:

  • Senior school qualification with specific training in Purchasing.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a purchasing or stores environment.
  • Proficient in Purchasing Systems, preferably Moreton Bay.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Possesses a valid UAE driving license.
  • Familiarity with the local UAE/Dubai market.
