Job Description:
The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to hotel guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. This role includes preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining bar cleanliness, handling guest payments, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the hotel’s service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes
- Greet guests warmly and take beverage orders promptly
- Engage with guests to provide recommendations and enhance their overall experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including counters, glassware, and equipment
- Monitor guest alcohol consumption and follow responsible service guidelines
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and POS systems accurately
- Restock bar supplies and assist with inventory control
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Open and close the bar according to hotel procedures
Desired Skill & Expertise:
- Previous bartending experience preferred, ideally in a hotel or upscale hospitality environment
- Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Basic math and cash-handling skills
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
