Full job description

A Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and Serve Beverages: Create high-quality coffee, espresso, and tea drinks according to established recipes and customer preferences.
  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide recommendations based on their tastes.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the coffee bar, equipment, and seating areas clean and sanitized.
  • Handle Transactions: Process payments accurately using cash registers and credit/debit machines.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items, and assist in ordering as needed.
  • Upselling: Promote special items and menu offerings to enhance customer experience and increase sales.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers effectively.
  • Knowledge of Coffee: Familiarity with different coffee beans, brewing methods, and drink recipes.
