Position Overview

The Store Keeper is responsible for managing all warehouse and storage operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, proper handling of client items, and smooth coordination with the operations and packing teams. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.

Inventory & Storage Management

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming items from packing teams and clients.
  • Label, tag, and store items systematically to ensure easy retrieval.
  • Maintain accurate inventory logs (physical and digital).
  • Update storage sheets, job files, and client records daily.
  • Monitor storage space utilization and optimize warehouse layout.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile discrepancies.

Computer Skills

  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel (data entry, formatting, filtering, basic formulas).
  • Ability to draft clear and professional emails for daily coordination and reporting.
  • Comfortable using Google Sheets, Drive, and company email systems.

Warehouse Operations

  • Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Oversee loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Coordinate with drivers and packers for item movement.
  • Prepare items for dispatch, delivery, or client collection.
  • Report damages, missing items, or irregularities immediately.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain storage agreements, delivery notes, and receiving reports.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory summaries.
  • Ensure all documents are properly filed and accessible.
  • Communicate storage updates to operations, customer service, and management.

Client Coordination

  • Assist clients during item drop-off or collection.
  • Provide clear explanations of storage processes and policies.
  • Ensure professional handling of client belongings at all times.

Team Support

  • Coordinate with the operations team for packing schedules and storage allocations.
  • Support packers and helpers with warehouse tasks when required.
  • Report manpower needs, equipment issues, or operational challenges.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Store Keeper, Warehouse Assistant, or similar role (moving company experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to lift and move items safely.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Google Sheets, inventory systems).
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational habits.

Work Environment

  • Warehouse-based role with daily coordination with drivers, packers, and operations staff.
  • Requires physical activity, including lifting, moving, and organizing items.
  • Fast-paced environment with multiple daily storage movements.
